Mount Everest Located in the Mahalangur section of Himalaya, border between Nepal and China. The Mt. Everest in ( Nepali Sagarmatha, Tibetan, Chomolungma) is the world Highest Mountain peak at 8848 meters (29,029 ft) above the sea level. Mount Everest is part of the Great Himalayan Range. This range stretches along India, Nepal and China.

The Himalayas stretches across six countries Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. The international border between China and Nepal runs across the precise summit points. In 1841, Surveyor General of India, Sir George Everest first recorded the location of Everest. It was subsequently named ‘’Peak XV’’. In 1865, it was renamed Mt. Everest to honor Sir George. On May 29, 1953, Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal & Edmund Percival Hillary of New Zealand were the first to summit Everest via the Southeast Ridge Route. The first woman to climb Everest was Junko Tabei of Japan. We can see many people visiting our country Nepal to climb Mt Everest. Everest has two main climbing routes, the southeast ridge from Nepal and the north ridge from Tibet, as well as many others less frequently climbed routes.
