A detailed description of the itinerary
On Day 1, drive for 1.5 hours from Pokhara to Kande to start your trek. From Kande, it’s a 5-6 hour walk through Australian Camp and Pothana, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and peaks. You'll then enter rhododendron forests and reach Forest Camp at 2,500m, where you'll stay overnight in a teahouse.
On Day 2, trek for about 6-7 hours to reach High Camp. You'll pass through Low Camp and continue climbing through forests with occasional clearings offering views of Machhapuchhre and the Annapurna range. Arriving at High Camp, you’ll enjoy breathtaking mountain views and spend the night at a teahouse.
Day 3 is the trek's highlight. Start early for the 3-4 hour climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m, where you’ll experience panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. After exploring the base camp, descend back to High Camp to rest for the night.
