A detailed description of the itinerary
After breakfast in Kathmandu, you will drive to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the Langtang Valley Trek. The drive takes about 7-8 hours, passing through beautiful hills, rivers, and small villages. Upon arrival, enjoy the scenic surroundings and settle into your lodge.
The trek begins with a steep ascent through bamboo forests, following the Langtang Khola River. After about 6-7 hours of walking, you will arrive at Lama Hotel. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and pass through small villages.
Today’s trek takes you through rhododendron forests and terraced fields. After around 6-7 hours, you will reach Langtang Village, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, including Langtang Lirung. Stay in a local guesthouse for the night.
This is a shorter but steady ascent, taking around 3-4 hours to reach Kyanjin Gompa. This is the main Buddhist monastery in the Langtang region and a popular spot for trekkers to explore. The surrounding views are incredible, with snow-capped peaks towering above. Spend the night here.
Take a day to acclimatize and explore the area around Kyanjin Gompa. You can hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4,700m) for panoramic views of the Langtang range or explore the nearby glaciers. Rest and enjoy the majestic landscape.
After spending the day at Kyanjin Gompa, it’s time to retrace your steps back to Lama Hotel. The descent takes about 6-7 hours. Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes and the tranquil environment.
On this day, continue your descent back to Syabrubesi, where you will complete your trek. The walk takes around 5-6 hours, passing through lush forests and scenic villages. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, relax and reflect on your journey.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu, which takes about 7-8 hours. On the way, enjoy the scenic views once again as you make your way back to the capital city. Once in Kathmandu, you can relax and explore the city before concluding your trek.
