Mt. Manaslu, The 8th highest peak in the world which is elevated at the height of 8,163m (26,781 ft) above sea level is located in the ridges of Mansiri Himal in the Gorkha District of Nepal. Regarded as the “mountain of the spirit”, Mt. Manaslu is identified as Mt. Kutung in Tibet. This peak lies about 64km east of Mount Annapurna. Two mountaineers Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu ascended to the top on 9th May 1956. Although there were several expeditions to Manaslu earlier expedition to Manaslu was legally unlocked only in 1991. Since, the inaugural expedition by H.W Tilman, Mt Manaslu has been popular among tough trekkers, and this region is still constrained to limited clusters and only well-structured trekkers in the group can trek here. Manaslu region is very isolated resulting in challenging rescuing.

A detail description of Itinerary
Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel, and attend an initial expedition briefing with equipment and permit reviews.
Meet with the expedition team for detailed route planning, final equipment checks, and a briefing on logistics and weather conditions.
Take a short flight from Kathmandu to Simikot, then drive (≈3–4 hours) to the starting village (e.g. Hilsa/Kharwa) where you begin your acclimatization.
Start trekking through local villages and rugged terrain, crossing suspension bridges and river valleys, and arrive at Manasalu Base Camp for the first overnight stay.
Rest and perform short acclimatization hikes around Base Camp to prepare for higher altitudes; overnight at Base Camp.
Ascend gradually from Base Camp to set up Camp I on a higher ridge, then complete a round-trip acclimatization hike; overnight at Camp I.
Spend the day resting and taking short local hikes around Camp I to further acclimatize; overnight at Camp I.
Push upward along a steeper route from Camp I to establish Camp II, traversing snowfields and rocky terrain; overnight at Camp II.
Complete a short acclimatization loop around Camp II to get your body used to the altitude; overnight at Camp II.
Make a high-altitude ascent from Camp II to Camp III while navigating crevassed areas and steep slopes; overnight at Camp III.
Acclimatize further and prepare your gear and strategy for the summit attempt at Camp III; overnight at Camp III.
Begin the summit push in the pre-dawn hours from Camp III, climb to the summit of Manasalu, then safely descend back to Camp III; overnight at Camp III.
Carefully descend from Camp III back to Camp II to allow for recovery; overnight at Camp II.
Retrace your steps and descend gradually from Camp II back to the Base Camp; overnight at Base Camp.
Begin the return trek from Base Camp, descending through familiar terrain back to the starting village; overnight in the village.
Drive back to Simikot and take a flight from Simikot to Kathmandu, then transfer to your Kathmandu hotel.
Enjoy a free day in Kathmandu to rest, explore local sites, and shop for souvenirs before departure; overnight in Kathmandu.
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight, concluding your Manasalu Expedition.
