Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak climbing is a popular trek climb to the beginner adventure seekers and climbers who are willing to have an experience of snowy peak climb in Everest trekking region. Mera peak (6,476m) is considered as the highest trekking peak in Nepal situated south of the Mt. Everest between the wild and wooded valley of Hinku and Hongu Drangkas. Mera peak summit provides enchanting views of Everest region all above 8000m. The successful ascent of Mera peak was done by Col. Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing in year 1953 but this region was explored by a British expedition group lead by Sir Edmund Hillary in early 50s. Now it’s a popular trek climb for beginner climbers in Khumbu region.

Mera peak climb is considered as a technically straight forward to climb but due to heavy snow and the maze of crevasses can make a climb a bit longer than estimated. The trek climb to Mera peak starts from a breathtaking flight to Lukla; from there we trek along pristine villages with unique culture, high meadows and river valleys. Hinku valley a quite large settlement of lodges a perfect place to camp near Hinku River. Mera peak base camp (5300m) provides an excellent launch pad to climb mera peak. After a successful climb on mera peak climb we retrace back to lukla leaving behind the most unspoiled part of Khumbu region. Dawn in Nepal Adventure Pvt. Ltd. a leading trekking peak climbing operator assures you a safe and sound trip whichever you choose. Welcome to be around Himalayas.
