Makalu 3 cols Trek one of the adventurous trekking trail in world. Makalu 3 cols trek is an absolute classic adventure trip. After the Makalu Base Camp we cross the 3 difficult passes which are Sherpani Col (6110m), West Col (6135m) and Amphu Laptsha Pass (5845m). Main attraction of Makalu three col trekking are spectacular views of the 8000-ers Cho Oyo (8153m) Lhotse (8501m), Baruntse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Thamserku, Everest (8848m), Makalu (8475m) and Kanchenjunga (8586m. Makalu barun national park and Sagarmatha national park are decorated with 3.000 species of flowering plants, with hundreds of orchid varieties, 48. Primroses and 25 of Nepal’s 30 rhododendrons beside those forests are the shelter of wildlife, including endangered red panda and musk deer as well as the ghoral, Himalayan tahr and leopard. Ornithologists have identified 400 bird species, at least 16 of which are extremely rare.
Mount Makalu, the world’s Fifth highest peak of the world. Makalu 3 cols trekking trail follows the picturesque and rarely trekked route, which passes through a number of interesting settlements and offers tantalizing views of the highest peaks of the earth. On Makalu 3 cols trek we have allowed a couple of days for acclimatization at Sherson and beyond in the laps of these giant peaks. From here we move to a higher camp at the foot of the Barun Glacier then we make our final preparation for the traverse of the three cols. Our expert guides will fix ropes on the steepest and most exposed sections of the passes, for the safety of the group, staffs and porters. After crossing Makalu 3 cols we reach most popular Everest region then trail descend towards lukla.
Makalu 3 cols trek start from Tumlingtar and end at lukla. Makalu 3 cols trekking is suitable for experienced hikers or climbers with alpine experience. Normal walking experience is not enough for Makalu 3 cols trekking. Best season for Makalu 3 cols trek is March to May and September to November.
