Ganja-La Pass Trekking

Ganja-la pass is one of the attractions in Langtang Region north of Kathmandu offers a multitude of trekking destinations. It is one of the adventure pass in the whole Adventure pass in the whole Lantang region. This trekking route is beautiful and challenging in both ways. You can experience mesmerizing scenes of snowcapped mountains above 7000m. Moreover, the company of green rhododendron, bamboo forest, majestic waterfalls and terrains makes the trek one of the most diverse treks. In the way of challenging much of the trek route is spent above 3,000m and ganja la pass is at the height of 5,122m.

Ganja-la pass trekking offer an opportunity to explore Tibetan, Tamang villages. The local inhabitants have unique culture and renowned for their warm hospitality. The pass itself is not easy, during autumn and spring the pass opens for trekkers. Ganja-pass trekking starts from sybru Bensi and ends at Melamchi Pul Bazar. From Sybru Bensi, you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyanching Gompa (3,049.). In Kyanjing Gompa there is a cheese factory started in 1955 by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance. To cross from Langtang into Helambu  vai the Ganja-la pass which  is difficult and requires good equipment ,experienced guides. Crossing of the pass requires the use of technical climbing equipment and trekkers must be skilled in the use of the climbing equipments. The trail follows a small valley before reaching the glaciated pass where the use of the ropes, crampons and ice axes may be necessary.

Ganja-la pass trek is diverse and challenging trek near the Kathmandu valley. Although it is so much near to capital city yet it’s as wild as any Tibetan highlands. This trail has no lodges and settlements in upper area along the way, the group should be well equipped with enough food. Organized camping treks are possible for this region. Ganja-La Pass Trekking Itinerary

Day 01 : Welcome to Nepal. upon your arrival at Nepal our representative welcome you and assists to transfer in your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu (1,350m).
Day 02 : Kathmandu Valley city tours and preparation for upcoming trek.
Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi.
Day 04 : Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel.
Day 05 : Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang(3,430m).
Day 06 : Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 07 : Kyanjin Gompa explore day.
Day 08 : Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Ngegang.
Day 09 : Trek from Ngegang cross to Ganja La pass (5130m) to Keldang ( 4270m).
Day 10 : Trek from Keldang trek to Ganja La to Dukpu (4040m).
Day 11 : Trek from Dukpu to Tarkeghyang (2560m).
Day 12 : Trek from Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2620m).
Day 13 : Trek from Sermathang to Malemchepul Bazzar (830m)
Day 14 : Trek from Malemchigaon to Tarke Gyang(2,590m).
Day 15 : Drive bus to Kathmandu/Hotel.
Day 16 : Free day in Kathmandu you can continue little sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.
Day 17 : After this amazing trek if you are interested for other activities like Safari, Rafting, Biking Tours, Peak climbing or more trekking in other region we can organize as your desire. If you decide to leave Nepal we will transfer to airport for your onward destinations.
