Everest Cultural Trek

Everest region or Khumbu region one of the world’s best known trekking area is not only rich in natural beauty it gives you an opportunity to explore  the great diversity of culture, lifestyle, language and religion of the inhabitants. This trek is specially designed for the trekkers willing to explore the cultural uniqueness with the scenic beauty of high Himalayas. The inhabitants of this area are known as Sherpa. They are presumed to come from Tibet. They came in groups to settle in the foothills of these high Himalayas. Now, about more than 30,000 Sherpa people are living in khumbu region. They are famous for their warm hospitality and renowned for their mountain climbing skills. The main occupation is agriculture but since the 1950s tourism has become the dominant source of employment and income in khumbu region.

Everest cultural trek starts with the spectacular mountain flight to Lukla and then we trek to the Namche bazaar, the colorful center of Sherpa life where we see Himalayan trades and yak caravans. We will get the chance of seeing the high mountains including Everest during our trek and also the local people show us their local dance. You can interact with the locals; home stay is another specialty of this trek.  Then after Namche Thame is another stop, you will see many prayer flags, mani walls and carved stone of Buddhist religion. The views of Amadablam, Thamserku and Tawache are really breathtaking from Khumjung another stop. Tengboche is popular for its legendary monastery, the largest in khumbu region. We head to lukla and back to Kathmandu by air. Dawn in Adventure Nepal organizes trekking in khumbu region throughout the year.  Welcome to feel the cultural uniqueness of Khumbu region.
